"I joined Sit Means Sit one year ago. I was looking to supplement my income and to have an opportunity to be in business for myself again. I had minimal experience as a dog trainer. My first year anniversary has recently passed and my business has exceeded all of my expectations."

"I came out of school ready to move forward. It was the holiday season so it took me a few weeks to get going. Now, I have well over 100 clients, a facility, and two full time trainers in addition to myself. I have been busy with many events and have become a respected name in the community. We have done charity events, parades and library events for kids. We are known in my area to be able to work with aggressive dogs successfully.

"Most of all, I am having a great time! I enjoy working with my family, my dogs, and my friends. I get the help and support I need with the corporate office. The continuing education has been awesome and has allowed me to improve my skills and knowledge base. I know there is always someone to give me advice and support when needed.

"I am a registered nurse and continue to work part time, not for financial reasons, but for the love of helping people. I never thought I could be rewarded anymore than with nursing. I love seeing the smile on a faces of my clients when they are so proud of how their dogs behave, the pleasure they get when they take their dogs out in public and how happy their dogs are. While different in terms of reward, it is equally fulfilling.

"When working for yourself the challenges are different than collecting a paycheck, I have been on both sides in the past. This is not my first business, but this is the most successful first year I have ever had in any business venture. I live in a smaller town in Colorado, one that does not have the highest pay scale in the state. So with hard work and the willingness to provide a valuable service to my clients my business is thriving. It is my desire to contiue to grow with Sit Means Sit and provide the best customer service I am able to for the people in Southern Colorado. I want to thank Fred, Lianne, and the corporate staff for all of the support they have given me!"
